Our Projects > Cypress Lane

The Tony Macoun Centre for Early Learning in West Vancouver. This complicated project used Insulating Concrete Forms (ICFs), which are essentially insulated blocks that house reinforced concrete. Constructing a building with ICFs, ensures that walls are structurally sound, insulated and strapped. Final exterior and interior finishes are applied directly onto the ICFs with no additional preparation needed.

ICF buildings provide increased comfort. Reinforced concrete eliminates cold spots or drafts and home-owners always comment on the consistency of their home's temperature from season to season. Because there are no CFCs, HCFCs, formaldehydes or wood products (which can rot and create mold), ICFs are the ultimate solution for allergy and asthma sufferers.

ICF buildings are rapidly increasing in popularity due to their durability and low enviromental impact.
